Development Assistance

If you are thinking about relocating or starting a business, Main Street Biloxi and its economic development allies are here to assist you.

With the Main Street District’s close proximity to seven of Biloxi’s nine casino resorts, visitor traffic of over 50,000 a day, as well as new residential development in East Biloxi, numerous development and business opportunities exist in our downtown area, especially in the following targeted business sectors:

  • Restaurants
  • Nightclubs with live music/entertainment
  • Art galleries
  • Grocery store
  • Upper floor lofts/apartments

To prove that we are serious about development in Biloxi’s downtown, special incentives, including tax exemptions, are available to offset the cost of general building improvements and renovation of historic structures. In addition, Main Street and City of Biloxi personnel will work with developers to expedite the permitting and approval process.

Main Street Biloxi has detailed tax/ownership information on all properties in our Downtown District available online. We also have an online map and information on available properties with links to local real estate brokers and owner contacts.

The staffs of the following economic development agencies are happy to assist you. Each office offers a wide array of services including:

  • Market statistics/demographics
  • City/county mapping/aerial photography
  • Traffic counts for key intersections
  • Permitting/zoning assistance
  • Complimentary site tours/meetings with area leaders
